Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26 1991) better known by her stage name Ari Lennox is an American artist and singer hailing born in Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be affiliated with J. Cole's record label Dreamville Records. The label released her first album titled Pho in the month of October 2016 where she started to get recognition. Her first studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet in 2012 as she dropped her first mixtape Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography In 2013. The year 2014 saw her release additional music on the internet including Bound. On 21st of July 2015. Omen included her in Elephant Eyes' track"Sweat It Out. In the following year, her music circulated around the Dreamville team, as J. Cole wanted her to work with him on some potential references to Rihanna. In December 2008, the news was made public that Rihanna had contracted with Dreamville Records. The singer appeared on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II in the track Backseat featuring Cozz. The 21st of October, 2016, her EP Pho was released. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track, and performed on with the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. She also appeared in 2018 in two of her songs with label-mates EarthGang to Nothing but the Best. and Bas On Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th July, 2018, released her first single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video for it was also released on September 5th. In November, she released two singles, 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. On the 13th of November, two brand new singles called The No One and pedigree. Shea Butter Baby is a song that she performed together with Cole on Creed II's soundtrack on the 16th of November. The track was released as a single on its own in February 2019 to coincide with the release of her debut album. The 20th of February, 2019, a music clip was made available for the track. It has already received over 3 million views on YouTube within the debut week. In December 2018 she was performing as a support act on From East Atlanta With Love Tour. From East Atlanta With Love Tour with 6LACK.
