Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for the role of the character Detective Diane Russell. Her other credits include her roles on the drama show All My Children Philly CSI: Miami as well as Army Wives. Delaney was the child of an executive in the United Auto Workers who was also the mother of her children. Delaney has four older brothers. The idea of becoming a court reporter in childhood but started modelling while in high school and eventually gaining commercials when she moved from New York. In her teens, her first role as an actress came in the soap opera of 1980 All My Children. Delaney's career has been filled with a variety of television shows and dramas. Her career as a professional has been more successful than her private life. There were two divorces that failed and fought with alcoholism. The year 2005 was the time she was denied custody of the only child that she had.
